Free Printable Project Insert + 10 Free Planner Printables You Haven't Seen on Pinterest

I'm a lot more interested in my ARC discbound notebook than I thought I would be. Who knew a quick trip for office supplies would lead to hours lettering practice and searches for free planner printables. Here's a Pinterest board with over 40 free planner inserts. I found in my hunt. Almost all of them are 8.5" x 11" and 100% have working links and downloads.

I haven't found a project planner page that's perfect for my PR, social media and web design business, so I made my my own. You can check it out below. Included is a second sheet without labels you can customize yourself.

Further down you'll find links to 10 free printables I'm using right now. I love being super-organized with the habit tracker, weekly planner, re-decorating worksheet... well, all of them. And guess what? 

Most of the free printables have been pinned on Pinterest less than 10 times, so you probably haven't seen them.

I use Canva to design everything from social media graphics to press kits. I started on my printable by finding a free-use watercolor image on pixabay.com, by Prawny. All art on Pixabay falls under the Creative Commons CC0 license. You can download and use any image on the site royalty free, even for commercial use. Attribution is not required.

Once I had my background, I put the page together using the free elements Canva stocks. My planner page has an area for your client's contact info, a to-do list, space for things you need to ask and tell your client, and notes.Since my projects involve design, I also added an area for color codes and fonts.

I print these planner inserts on card stock. I don't usually write directly on them. Instead, I use sticky notes for each task, piece of information, or step of the project.

10 Awesome Free Printables I'm Using Right Now.

Free planner pages you can print at home. All of them were working as of May 1, 2017. I put a note on the downloads that require a newsletter signup. All of these printables are 8.5" x 11".

1. This gorgeous forest-themed Weekly List Printable from VQ Creative Studios looks amazing printed on the lined paper that came with my ARC planner.VQ Creative's page of free printable downloads also has a free 2017 Calendar with plant silhouettes that matches the Weekly List.

In their free download section, VQ also has a well-designed Daily Planner to keep you organized. They fit a lot in. 

The page has all the standard stuff plus room for a meal plan, habit and fitness lists, to-do, a water tracker, and even space for notes and a quote.

2. I use this monthly Habit Tracker from Clementine Creative for my fitness goals, cleaning tasks, volunteer work days, pet care and even visits with family. The habit tracker lets you view all of the tasks that are important to you. It's a lot easier to visualize your progress with a habit tracker grid than with a list.

If you want to be able to type your habits into the sheet, you can buy an editable version from Clementine Creative for a few bucks.

3. I'm the kind of person who needs worksheets and outlines to plan my projects. Nothing comes together until it's down on paper.  I like this  project planner from Black and White Obsession because it has room to be creative plus plenty of practical ways stay organized. The sheet comes in four colors and is 8.5" x 11". can use it on a single page or cut it for a smaller journal.  right side is all about creativity and the left is for lists and organization – just like your brain!

The brainstorming bubbles are my favorite part of this project planner. You can use them for text or doodles. 

The right page also has plenty of room to draw sketches and take notes.

On the left side there's a bubble for your project idea and space for all kinds of practical info, like your deadline, how much time you'll need, a timeline, supplies to buy, steps to take and room for links and research.

4. On a hunt for free decorating printables I came across this Room Makeover Planner from The Crafting Nook. The free printable pulls together everything you need to know before you start redecorating a room.

There are so many things to think about when you're planning a new look for your home. 

This free decorating planner has it all, from colors, style and must-haves to a room inventory, ideas for walls, and plenty of room of sketches.

5. I like using this minimalist project planner from Paper & Landscapes for work tasks I do often that don't require a lot of brainstorming. The most unique feature of this free printable is the difficulty level tracker. It helps me look at a bunch of projects at once and plan my day by how hard each one is.

There is plenty of space for notes and for sketching ideas (or making doodles) and a long task list that lets you break down every to-do in your project.

I also use this page as a daily planner, I just put a sticker over the word "Project." It's kind of fun to rate the difficulty of your day and sketch out ideas.

6. Have you been to printablepaper.net? If you like printables you need to check it out. A lot of the 1,700+ free printable pages are basic. Their graph paper section and dot paper section are perfect for printing planner and bullet journal pages. 

You can also use them as a base for  building your own printable pages. 

The site has are penmanship and calligraphy paper for practicing your lettering. 

My favorites from Printable Paper are pictured here - comic pages. I use them as project dashboards that I print on card stock and attach a tab to.

I like to print out a light blue graph paper, then print the comic page on top of that.

7. This yearly blog planner from Alice & Lois is perfect for my "final draft" blog ideas, after I've worked them out on a brainstorming or planner page. I only post blogs once a week, so the smaller monthly boxes work for me. This page is the dashboard for the blog section in my planner.

Alice & Lois have a bunch of beautifully designed printables you can download for free. 

Their weekly menu planning and grocery page breaks your shopping list into food groups. I also like using the Alice & Lois New Year's Resolutions sheet. It works well for monthly resolutions too.

8. I use the Life Your Way Mind Map Template to to brainstorm words and phrases to use in a communication project. I put the name of the project into the center box, then build out with the things they make me think of. A third layer lets you extrapolate even further.

The Mind Map helps me figure out the best way to communicate a message. 

Using the Map helps me pair words I wouldn't have thought to use together. That's useful for coming up with slogans, taglines and social media posts.

9. Free Printable Weekly Planner for Small Business Owners & Entrepreneurs from Fuze Branding. This one is so cute. It's not a notebook page. Instead, it's a weekly printable desk planner that uses 8.5" x 11" paper. 

One side has the days of the week and a little bit of room for gratitude. 

The other side has space for goals, a shopping list, notes and a quote.

10. And finally, what's a planner without a few coloring pages? I love this free Bug and Butterfly Coloring Page from Dabbles and Babbles. It's great for kids too.  The website has other unique coloring pages in their Freebies section. I've tried out the houses and robots pages and can certify that they are fun to color.
